Mental Health x the Gospel

Our Mental Health x The Gospel (MHxG) sessions create a safe and supportive space for individuals, leaders, and organizations navigating the real-life challenges that often arise at the intersection of faith and mental health. We address the core issues many believers and ministry leaders face, including:

  • Faith & Psychology Tension – Wrestling with how to integrate mental health care and biblical truth.

  • Stigma & Shame – Overcoming cultural or theological barriers that silence conversations about mental health.

  • Lack of Awareness & Training – Equipping leaders and believers to confidently recognize and respond to mental health needs.

  • Burnout & Isolation – Supporting those who pour into others while neglecting their own well-being.

  • Desire for Biblical Tools – Providing faith-rooted, practical guidance instead of purely secular approaches.

What can I expect to experience at the MHxG Sessions?

Upon participating in The Job Project's virtual workshops on Mental Health and The Gospel, I discovered a wealth of invaluable insights. These sessions equipped me with practical tools to navigate the complexities of mental well-being. I not only gained a deeper understanding of the intricate connection between mental health and faith but also acquired a new vocabulary to articulate my thoughts and emotions. What truly resonated with me was the supportive environment fostered by a community rooted in Christian values. Through this experience, I not only honed my understanding of essential mental health principles but also deepened my spiritual journey by intertwining it with scriptures.

What Valerie and Chris are doing with these workshops is going to save lives. I’ve never had the gospel and mental health be put together in such a way that made me feel seen and like I wasn’t alone. There aren’t many accessible outlets like this, so to be part of something like their workshop is something that literally a blessing.

The Mental Health and The Gospel workshop series has been nothing short of incredible. Valerie and Chris do an amazing job at educating, engaging, and empowering us to learn and grow in our mental health journeys while holding onto the hope of the gospel. They’re genuinely well-versed and passionate about this work and mission, and it shows up in how they design thoughtful curriculum for participants. I’ve left each session not only feeling renewed and hope-filled, but with tangible and practical resources I use in everyday life. I can’t recommend these workshops enough!

The Job Project! Man oh Man what a Blessing! I have been in ministry leadership for over 18 years across 7 churches, and though I have served under some amazing and supportive leadership, I don’t think I have ever felt as seen and supported mentally, emotionally and spiritually, as I have in the few weeks of working with The Job Project. Whether it be a Mental Health & The Gospel Workshop, or listening to/watching their podcast, there is no doubt I will walk away refreshed. Working with The Job Project has also equip me with practical skills and effective tools that can be easily integrated into my day to day. The way Chris & Val so seamlessly Bridge the Gap between Mental Health and the Gospel, has greatly effected not only the way I perceive the Word of God and the Life of Christ, but it has also infiltrated the way I lead. I am eternally greatful to have this resource and I would recommend to any Faith Based organization that they integrate “The Job Project” curriculum into their leadership development programs, by booking them for a Mental Health & The Gospel workshop or just following them wherever they have content posted.
